[By the looks of things, Lindir is sitting down in a high backed chair in one of Blackstaff's guest rooms. He says nothing, but continues poking at the screen, furrowing his brows and frowning. As there's a beep from the device, he turns his head to listen to it, then looks back again. He lets out a deep sigh. This was going to be a lot harder than he thought it would be. Why did he ever agree to this?]

Perhaps, although I'm not easily impressed. The Capitol on Gallifrey is difficult to surpass.

[But even Narvin, despite his stunted sense of aesthetics and excessive Gallifreyan patriotism, would probably find the elven vale exceedingly beautiful. He'd quickly bemoan the lack of computers, though.]

I'm afraid I have never heard of such a place.

Never? [Narvin is never sure whether to be pleased or disappointed when people haven't heard of Gallifrey. It makes his preferred policy of isolation easier, but it's a blow to the ego that Gallifrey is not the centre of the multiverse.]

Well. It's the seat of the ancient and revered civilization of Time Lords. [Revered in Narvin's mind. Not so much by the actual peoples of the universe.]

My people. The rulers of Gallifrey. You haven't heard of them either? Oldest and mightiest civilization? [Narvin says hopefully even as he deflates a little. It's disappointing to him when his race isn't nearly as important or impressive to other people as it is to him.]

[He gives a dubious look at that.]

I feel you are mistaken. The Eldar are the firstborn children of Ilúvatar.

[Narvin draws himself up a little taller.

It's not very impressive.]

The Time Lords of Gallifrey have reigned for a billion years. We were perfecting transmat technology when the universe was only half its current size.

[He raises an eyebrow at that, obviously unbelieving. However, he wasn't about to argue further. Lindir avoided conflict as much as possible.]
