[Agent K has been here for a little bit, and is settling in pretty quickly. Given all the other weird shit he's encountered in his career having to walk around with a foil lined fedora isn't too strange. That said, despite being used to every brand of pink, purple, and blue fuckery he's not too fond of the idea of some of his thoughts just popping into other people's heads.]

[So, today he's going to check in on the current stash of resort workers to see how people are doing so that he can be overly cautious.]

I figure as non-natives we might be a little more susceptible to this bug goin' around, so I was wondering if anyone brought in by the resort woke up with a hell of hangover and no drinking last night to go with it. I put some tylenol up at the front desk in security if anybody I'm workin' with is having any issues.

That is if you're not allergic, anyway.

A few days. [Apologetically.] So I'll let 'em know you'll probably be out for more than just tonight.

I'm real sorry to hear you're under the weather, ma'am.

[there is a soft groan on her end.] But I don't want to spend days cooped up. [She also was not a fan of wearing tinfoil hats. And she is whining again, which is decidedly unelven.]

Yeah, I get that way, too. [He hates having nothing to do.] Maybe there's somethin' productive that can come out of this.

[Apparently Kay is unable to think of the option of "spending time on yourself is good."]

If I am able to banish this headache I might then be able to do something yet. Until then, I will try to rest. [Tauriel is way to used to being active so laying down, sitting still or even sleeping. After all her people were designed to keep going if necessary with minimal down time.]

Maybe a shower. [She is muttering to herself at this point. Hot water showers were a miracle where she was from.]

I don't know about you, but when I'm feelin' sick it usually does feel pretty nice for the steam and to get some of the ick off.

Wait. Do you even got hot water in your neck of the woods?

[That thought about her world takes long enough to occur to him. Elves + hot showers. It didn't seem like it'd be a thing.]

We do, but it is not easy to come by. This has been a benefit of coming here.

[Yes she spent a good hour playing with the taps, the toilet and the shower.]

If we wish a bath it has to be in cool water or with water heated from a fire and then transported into a tub for bathing.

Yeah, I was one of the lucky people that had that from the get-go, without the extra work. Sometimes it's easy to forget it isn't that simple for a lot of people.

This place has taught me much int he short time that I have been here. I hope to learn more, when I am less ill and not prone to sharing my thoughts.

Well, some of the stuff is new to even me so if you need anybody to talk about it with or to push buttons let me know. I might be as surprised as you are but at least you'd have an accomplice.

[See, he's not gruff and tumble all the time. He has a sense of humor. And he's just assuming she knows he's not offering to help turn on the shower or anything.]

[The thought doesn't even occur to her. Pick up lines in Middle Earth tend to be way more direct.]

I had hoped to explore more of the resort on my time off... soon maybe but not today and... maybe not tomorrow either. I may go visit a healer if things do not improve soon.

Yeah, that might be a good call. At least this one sounds like it'll run its course pretty quick.

In truth this is not soon enough for me. But then again I did not think I was even able to become sick. It is a lesson I have learned.

Well, you get places like this where everybody's movin' in and out and it's all mixed up and everyone can get a little bit sick.

Been mistaken for a Vulcan yet, by the way?

Vulcan? [That was a new one to her.] I've not heard of them before? Are they akin to me in nature or appearance?

They got the same sorta ears. I know a few of 'em have paired up with humans. They're a real serious sort.

Elves here are few and far between, but I've seen a lot of Vulcans around and about.

I will have to seek these Vulcans out when I am more fit and able to socialize.

[Ears did not mean much, and though he could not see it, she was touching one of her points in thought.]

Industry and technology are not things my kin understand easily. In truth I am surprised there are not more Dwarves here. I am almost certain the would find such innovations fascinating.

I haven't had the pleasure of coming across any yet, but I'm really hopin' I do.

[Kay likes to meet people. All kinds of people. He's just not very good at maintaining conversation with a lot of them.]

You will have to tell me of them, should you come across some before me. I am eager to know if we share a lineage.
