[By the looks of things, Lindir is sitting down in a high backed chair in one of Blackstaff's guest rooms. He says nothing, but continues poking at the screen, furrowing his brows and frowning. As there's a beep from the device, he turns his head to listen to it, then looks back again. He lets out a deep sigh. This was going to be a lot harder than he thought it would be. Why did he ever agree to this?]

[Well, that was a rather rude way of asking for an introduction. He can't be too upset though, he didn't know the protocol for speaking to others while using the device.]

I am Lindir Lanthirion, and I hail from Imladris. Might I ask your name as well?

[That's just how Boone is- blunt and to the point. He never means any harm by it, and if Lindir asked him to be more polite he probably wouldn't know what to say. He doesn't really think he's being rude, after all.]

Boone. From the Mojave.

[He's never heard of Imladris, so he doesn't think this guy would have heard of the Mojave either. Still, he did ask.]

Part of security around here, so I guess if you ever have any problems I'm one of the people you can go to. I'm the guy walking around with the red beret and the cyberdog.

[He's glad to hear there's more security around. It made things feel more... secure.]

[Boone's answer is to train his device on Rex and switch briefly to video. The dog is sat by the fence somewhere outside.]

Yeah, him.

[Lindir's eyes go wide.]

[He hesitates before asking what was on his mind.]

Does this creature answer to your commands? You have control over it?

He'll do what I say, yeah.

[Well, for the most part. Good luck trying to keep him under control when he spots a rat.]

Wouldn't call that having control over him exactly, but he's pretty obedient.

[Lindir looks relieved.]

That is good to hear indeed. Does your... companion work with you, in your duties as part of the guard?

Yeah, he comes along with me when I head out. Extra pair of eyes never hurt anyone, and he can pick up on things I can't.

[And if he got into any trouble he couldn't handle on his own, Rex would be a huge help.]

You never seen a dog before?

[From the questions Lindir is asking, he has to wonder.]

I cannot say I have seen a dog like that, for certain.
