[Well, someone has embraced this tin foil hat thing a little too enthusiastically. That hat is probably the first thing everyone notices about this broadcast. Goddamn, look at that thing. As if he didn't already look ridiculous enough in those robes.
The person who's wearing it -- a man, with a long, well-aged face -- is smiling, all warm and serene and welcoming.]
Greetings. I am Braska, a... mage hailing from the world of Spira. [He almost said summoner. Whoops. That's not the important part of his announcement, here. And, besides. Technically, he used to be a summoner. But all that ended... a while ago.] I am offering my services as a healer to Blackstaff. While it is true that I am an experienced White Mage, I am also skilled in the way of natural remedies -- that is to say, the creation and use of herbal cures. So, if you are not comfortable with magic, then there is an alternative for us to use instead.
I accept many forms of payment, so if you are low on gi -- [gil] money, then, fear not, we may trade instead. "Trade" is a... loose term. I do not speak merely of goods; I'm willing to even accept deeds, such as helping me gather the herbs I need for my remedies. [♥]
That said, this is more than an advertisement. [Braska laughs.] As I said, I am offering my services. Should you feel the need, you may come to me for help with your neuralflu. As you can see, I am well-prepared, [he adjusts his hat, grin widening,] and I would appreciate the opportunity to get a better look at the illness myself. The better acquainted I am with ailments, the better I can aid in easing their symptoms, if not curing them altogether. [He holds up his hands, bowing his head placatingly.] No experimentation needed, if you are uncomfortable with the idea; I merely need to watch, and to study.
Ah, and one last thing. [... and then, right at the end, his professionalism drops, and his smile becomes -- goofy.] Does anyone happen to know where I might purchase some grubs from that advertisement?

I shall be waiting. [An incline of his head.]
video-->action
It takes her some time to reach his place, but when she does, it is with obvious relief as she steps into his clinic.]
Hello?
action
Braska is at the kitchenette when she enters, and he turns, smiling his welcome and looking openly concerned.]
Hello. Please, rest. Make yourself at home. I'll bring you the tea.
Re: action
Thank you. You're doing me a great kindness.

You are very welcome, my dear. You need not worry about a thing.
[He pauses, watching her for a moment. She... There is a -- light about her, as if it is glowing from within her. It must be something that her people do. He chastises himself mentally and crosses over to wherever it is she's decided to sit, bringing a tray with small tea cups and the teapot. He pours it for her and offers her a cup with a small smile.]

As he approaches her, she feels a sense of something otherworldly about him, but attributes it to her feeling ill, even if her sickness is not life threatening.
She takes the cup quickly, realizing that her mind had been dallying on the strange feeling he generated, and inclines her head.]
Thank you. I hope you may be able to help. I do not like this not feeling like myself. It is extremely unpleasant.
no subject
I will do everything in my power to help.
In order to do so, though, I must ask your permission to perform a simple Scan spell. This will inform me of your basic health, and it should provide me a better look in how this illness is affecting you. If it's too uncomfortable, then, fear not, I can do my best with the spell that would ease the symptoms anyway, but it may be less effective.

Whatever is needed to ease this malady. You have my permission. If there is discomfort, I'll endure it for nothing can be worse than this flu.

[Braska doesn't bothering retrieving his staff for this. He just stands back and charges his energy, holding his hand just over his heart, and then casts it with almost a lazy gesture, a flick of the wrist and the return of his arm to his side.
The overlay of the magic is only to his eye, and he keeps his focus on it for several long moments.
And here we find the true purpose of the tea -- to give Tauriel something to do with herself while she waits. He doesn't just rely on the Scan; while he is watching it, he's slowly sinking into a kind of meditative state, like the early stages of the Cure. There is a soft magical glow around him, pale yellow-green and purple, as a result.]Hmmmm... Yes... [he murmurs to himself, before finally blinking a few times rapidly to clear his vision of the spell. He smiles again, folding his hands inside his long sleeves.] Good news, Miss Tauriel. I can, indeed, at the very least alleviate the symptoms of this illness, and for several hours, if my estimations are correct.
no subject
She does study him since his healing technique is different to that she has known. She can even see faintly the color of glow which encompasses him and wonders then if this is akin to what others see about an Eldar.]
That is indeed good news. Any alleviation will be well rewarded. This illness has troubled me long enough.

If you have the means and the desire, then, by all means, you may pay as you wish. I wouldn't want you to leave feeling as though you unnecessarily owe me a debt. But that is all I ask for: whatever you feel is necessary.
[He charges his next spell, now, and the light remains the same as it has been, until he releases the energy. Braska does take his time during the charge, however, his focus this time on what he can sense of the illness in her body. When he casts the spell, purple shafts of light glow up from her feet to cover her entire body
and, as he promised, the symptoms ease.]
There. That should do it.

I've pay. I'm part of the patrol staff keeping the resort safe. I do not require much to live off of so I am certain there will be no "going without necessities."
[She once again sits perfectly till waiting for the magic of his spell to go off. The light makes her gasp as she tries not to squirm from the magic feeling surging up through her.
The easement of her symptoms causes her to sigh happily as sh feels almost instantly better. However as the muted colors fade, she nearly screams from surprise as her eyes are assaulted by the couch. The colors earlier had been soothing to a world of faded shades, but now it was almost eye searing.]
It...worked, too well it seems.
[She says with a grimace as she gets up off the couch, taking her tea with her.]
no subject
Braska can't help it; he laughs, and he teases:] Too bad, too bad. Even the best gifts can be curses~. But I'm afraid I can't take it back.
no subject
[She is trying not to let her eyes water now that she can see the couch properly.]
Well I had better not squander the gift of my returned sight then. How shall I make payment out to you?
[Meaning, how can she escape in the fastest way possible without loosing face to him. ]
no subject
However you see fit. You may have the emeralds sent to me, if you wish. [Braska fishes out his credit card from the folds of his robes and holds it up, grinning gleefully. The idea of this kind of currency is still hugely a novelty to him.]
no subject
[She obviously thinks that he was swindled but does not have the heart to say so to his face.]
That I can do. I can have the money sent directly from my account.
no subject
[Braska's grin becomes a little cheeky.] If you'd like, I could always keep a lookout for another piece of furniture in its style for you.
