Did everyone see Boone's message about the explosions? I'm putting together a team to go investigate. First goal is to set up some surveillance equipment motion activated cameras-- second is to try to find tracks or traces. A couple of young men playing around with their new guns should leave some kind of mess somewhere.

You don't have to tell me that the cameras are mostly going to get pick-ups of spiders and other large fauna, but if they come back we'll get something.

I'm looking for a tracker at least, anyone who knows the area, and Mister Narvin.

Someone who knows the area, comma, and yourself. These cameras have to be calibrated in the field, so I assume you'll be coming.

Ten-hundred hours, at the resort vehicle lot. We'll all go out together. I don't expect to surprise whoever's out there-- I don't think we'll see them at all-- but numbers wouldn't hurt.

Agreed. I have no desire to be out there alone.

[And he's definitely going to be armed. Just in case.]

If things go well, we won't be out there long. Calibrate the cameras, get some video with hand-helds, and see if we can't find a shoe print or a beer can or two. I'm not looking to play frontier lawman.

Great. I'd recommend a field rifle; I'm not expecting to be out there past nightfall, but plans have a way of going sideways. Any equipment you'll need loaded?

I believe I'm fairly well-equipped as it stands. [She'll borrow a rifle, but mostly she prefers to rely, if necessary, on her trusty S&W handgun.] Where and when shall I meet you?

I would also like to volunteer. Tracking would not be my strong suit in this scenario, but I would be able to provide magical support, both healing and offensive, should anything go awry.

Good to have you on the team. Are you familiar with firearms? Bring one if you are, just in case we do find trouble. [In some ways, Ben's having a problem adjusting from his stay on Yggdrasil, a largely lawless frontier world full of bitter prospectors unhappy that this new world didn't turn out to be full of riches and fairly easy with their pistols. There, a firearm was almost a politeness, a badge of society. He'll have to get past that sooner or later.]

Somewhat. [Braska can't help but smile at admitting it. He can only imagine the reactions if he confessed such a thing back among Yevonites.] I can count the times I've used one with one hand. But you needn't worry, I've other means of defending myself and others.

If you need help, I am willing to offer aide as a protector and possibly a tracker. I am still learning the areas around the resort, so I cannot claim to know it well. Few will have keener eyesight than myself however.
