[His message is quick, because he's nervous and new. Visscher came back for the project to rebuild, just in case more of the same misfortunes happened. He doesn't know if it's a good idea or not, but he might as well reintroduce myself.]

Most of the people I knew when I was first around seemed to have departed.

But I am Utrecht Visscher. I am a qualified physician in my universe, and a general practitioner by interstellar standards.

It's a pleasure and I will do my best to assist.

Hallo. It's good to hear from you again. It seems like things are much more orderly now.

They are, thanks to the efforts of the temporary helpers. I think we'll even be back to normal soon.

That's good to know. I don't know much about what made people leave in the first place.

Have very many left? I cannot say that I have kept track of such things.

There were elves here before, and someone that healed by magic.

I know I said it before, but welcome back, Doctor! I'm hopin' you're not too busy while you're here, 'cause--hey, Niko, watch--

[The audio feeds turns to static for a few seconds, then returns to normal, though with additional meowing in the distance.]

Sorry, sir, Niko got a lil' too curious 'bout the communicator. Lemme jus' change the settin's before I hand it over.

[A few more seconds of demanding meows while Wander locks the interface to make it more cat-proof.]

There were sidhe here? [Grainne's face lights up in surprise, and briefly wonders if maybe one of the visitors had been Hilda.

She really can't tell the difference between a Lorulian and an elf, though.]

I know a spell that heals by magic, though it is diminished in this universe, as all my magic is. I would have been glad to trade knowledge with such a person.

Hey. [Linda smiles at the new man, glad for how friendly he sounds. plus, she knows this place could use doctors right now] I'm Linda Esquivel--I'm on the security patrol. Nice to meet you.

Is that what you are?

I don't think that's what he was. His name was Braska.

Absolutely. I heard there was a race about to happen. I would be happy to see what it was you're riding.

[frontier_doktor]

Nice to meet you as well. [He's very friendly, but sometimes he embarrasses himself slightly.] I never had the chance to meet you before.

I must not have been here yet when you were here before. I've only been here a couple months.

[curious, she adds:] Did you go home during the trouble with the spawner? [it seems like a natural assumption to make--that he went home for a while during that business and then decided to come back]

Unfortunately not. On rare occasions their teleporter malfunctioned and that's when I returned back to where I had been. I decided then to go find another disaster aid service to work with.

[domesheriff]

[Linda is shocked by that explanation] Wait, you mean you were just using the teleporter and it sent you back on its own?

[frontier_doktor]

There was a flaw with the teleporters for some time that some people were returned home, and were difficult to find. From what I understand, that has largely been repaired.

[folkscallmewander]

[An excited gasp.]

Okie-dokie! I'm in my room right now, but I can meet up with ya at the stables! You gotta meet Wriggles, he's so cute!

Sure. I'm getting settled in still, so we could arrange a time for this this evening?

Oh, yes, I knew him. I do not think I heard that he knew healing magic, though... he left not long after I came here.

Visscher. [Which sounds much like "Fisher".] And it is good to see you again, too.

Visscher, then. Or can I call you Doc Visscher?

I've been following the health regime [aka drug rehab] program you recommended last time you were here and I feel healthier already. But I'd like to talk to you in person some time. I know you just got here and I wouldn't want to rush you, but when do you think you'll be ready to receive patients?

It is quicker than "Herr Doktor", so that is fine.

[Ah, yes, he remembers that.] I wouldn't be opposed. I'm still getting settled, so maybe tomorrow at the clinic. I usually get to work fast.

[He rarely spends much time in a place.]
