[The subject of this video isn't Boone. Instead, it's the outer fence around the village. The only sound for a few moments is of a dog quietly whining, but then Boone speaks.]

Came across this not long ago.

["This" being evidence of some pretty strong explosions happening outside the fence. There are a couple of spider legs just lying around nearby, but nothing else.]

Fence seems fine, but what I wanna know is who or what the hell is blowing things up outside it. You don't need to blow up a spider to kill it.

Not a lot bothers Rex, but he's been doing this ever since we got here. Whining, keeping away from the fence. I've known him to run straight into groups of deathclaws before, so I figure if he's spooked, I probably don't wanna get too close to whatever it is that's spooking him. Saw some shapes moving around through the trees earlier, but I couldn't make out what they were. Tried watching through my scope, but it didn't help. Just... sort of looked like the trees were moving.

[Which is ridiculous really, because he knows the damn trees aren't moving.]

Just figured I'd give everyone a heads up, anyway. Not sure if it's happening in other places yet, but if you see or find out anything let me know.

[Braska can't help it; he finds himself chuckling.]

I appreciate the concern. You do have a point, and yet...

[He trails off here, vaguely considering whether or not he should ask, can the dead die again when they walk because of their will? But... no. No, he shouldn't. Best not to open that can of worms just yet.]

Mmm. My apologies; I lost my train of thought. [A lie, said with a smile.] Where I am from, it's fairly common for us to feel as though we don't have the luxury to wait and watch. [Not an accusation, or anything like that, but offered as simply an explanation of what he's thinking.] I would rather risk myself than another who is not as trained as I. Foolhardy of me, I know, [he smiles again,] but it's a hard habit to kick.

[Boone grunts.]

Something about this funny to you?

[He doesn't get why Braska is all laughs and smiles. This is a pretty serious situation, he doesn't think it's funny.]

It doesn't matter where you're from, or what you'd do back there. You're not there anymore. That's something we're all gonna have to learn to deal with.

[His tone is matter-of-fact. He doesn't blame Braska for wanting to do something, but he's not risking anyone right now.]

There's probably gonna be a team head out at some point. You could ask to go with them. Until then, nobody's heading out there.

[The authority with which Boone speaks may as well have reached across the network, manifested physically, and slapped Braska upside the head for all the abrupt change in his demeanor would suggest. It hits him hard, in this moment: He's gotten carried away. This man is a Crusader, a warrior monk, fulfilling his duty -- keeping people safe. Braska is not an unfavored summoner known for his heretic ways and expert spellcasting here. He is just another civilian. He would do well do remember that.

Braska doesn't bother trying to stop himself from performing the prayer bow. His tone is as low as his bow.]

Please, accept my apologies. I've overstepped my bounds. I will do as you suggest; wait, and offer my services.

As for my laughter, please understand if I am... reluctant to explain. The thought that brought it on is related to a personal matter, but I can promise it was never my intention to make light of the situation.

[He has no idea what Braska is doing until he actually bows. Even then he doesn't really get it, but at least he can understand that he's sorry when he speaks. His voice has less of an edge to it when he replies.]

Yeah, well. Just remember where you are in future.

[He doesn't feel bad about what he said. The guy needed someone to say those things, obviously.]

I shall. [And Braska's going to make sure to hold himself to that promise. He cannot allow himself to be this disrespectful again.]

[He doesn't have much more to say to that. He's not imagining explosions will sort themselves out peacefully, though.]
