Video/Public
[The subject of this video isn't Boone. Instead, it's the outer fence around the village. The only sound for a few moments is of a dog quietly whining, but then Boone speaks.]
Came across this not long ago.
["This" being evidence of some pretty strong explosions happening outside the fence. There are a couple of spider legs just lying around nearby, but nothing else.]
Fence seems fine, but what I wanna know is who or what the hell is blowing things up outside it. You don't need to blow up a spider to kill it.
Not a lot bothers Rex, but he's been doing this ever since we got here. Whining, keeping away from the fence. I've known him to run straight into groups of deathclaws before, so I figure if he's spooked, I probably don't wanna get too close to whatever it is that's spooking him. Saw some shapes moving around through the trees earlier, but I couldn't make out what they were. Tried watching through my scope, but it didn't help. Just... sort of looked like the trees were moving.
[Which is ridiculous really, because he knows the damn trees aren't moving.]
Just figured I'd give everyone a heads up, anyway. Not sure if it's happening in other places yet, but if you see or find out anything let me know.

Mines and other traps are pretty useful out there. Keeps raiders and thieves away for the most part, but it also discourages some of the wildlife looking to turn you into dinner. The explosion is likely to wake you up too, so you can get the hell out of there if you need to. 'Course, some people just like to blow other people up.
[He stops by the fence and nods towards the charred ground.]
Gonna have to ask you to keep close to the fence, but otherwise you can do what you have to. I'll make sure nothing heads this way.

[He takes a few steps towards the explosion site, but it's getting harder and harder to make himself go forward. Every bit closer he gets, his mind more loudly tells him runrunrunrunrun. He freezes for a few seconds, pivots and walks back to Boone. Then tries again. Nope, he still really doesn't want to go that way. And doesn't know why. He walks in a tiny loop again, ten paces away and then back to Boone.]

[Boone watches Narvin struggle with himself, and tilts his head with a confused frown.]
...Uh. You okay?

[He tries to head out again, and...nope, that direction is not happening. His hearts are beating rapidly and his breath is sharp and quick.]

[It seems like he's... panicking. He glances out at the trees again. He's not feeling any different, but something is clearly wrong with Narvin and Rex is still keeping away. What the hell is going on here?]
I think you should stay over here for a minute. How's it making you feel?
[He'll have to make a note of it.]

[He crosses his arms over his chest in unease. There are Time Lords who can consciously feel the threads of the future. He has never been one of them before, but he imagines that this is what it feels like, this sense of doom that has no clear empirical cause.]

If you go past the fence? Or too close to the trees?
[If it's the trees, then maybe whatever's out there just wised up and stopped moving after all. Or maybe they moved further back, where the trees would hide all movement. Either way, Boone doesn't like it. He lifts his rifle and looks through his scope again, just incase.]

[He didn't much like the trees in any case. They were strange and green and smelled like alien chloroplast and were dark and could hold any manner of creature hidden in the tangle of plants. But right now he was liking them even less.]

Still can't see anything. Guess we're just gonna have to wait until we can get a team out there.
[And depending on how long that takes, Boone isn't sure they'll even find anything. Still, there are people here who know more about what they're looking for than him, and he'll just have to trust them to do their jobs when it comes to it.]

I'll inspect the blast area once an armed team has verified that the surroundings are clear.
[He says, as if he has a choice in the matter and his brain weren't betraying him by refusing to let him walk his body down there.]

[He taps his fingers impatiently against his rifle.]
Maybe you should tell the others about what you felt out here. I don't know what it means, but someone else might. If nothing else, it might persuade other people to be more careful. Maybe people won't take it seriously when a dog doesn't like something, but they might listen to you.
[People here just don't know what sort of danger Rex has run into before, without so much as hesitating. They've never seen deathclaws or fire geckos. If Rex can run straight at them but whines now? He doesn't think he's overreacting by keeping everyone away at this point.]

[It's a touchy subject. Narvin loathes the idea of anyone thinking that he might not be totally and completely in his right mind. So many Time Lords do go mad that it feels that much more important to him to always appear rational and never give reason for anyone to doubt his sanity.
So he compromises.]
I'll tell other security personnel, but that's it.
