[Once Niko's comfortably back in his home (because he had to check on his beast, which is scarfing food in the background and his big giant hound is sniffing at it like nothing at all was wrong in the past day), Niko decides to let people know he's alive.]

[He's so angry that he flipped Jeffer's network sensor on by accident. So his swears get replaced by madlib holes of hateful silence. He's still dirty, and tired, and looks like he's ready to tear off someone's face.]

What is that ▬▬▬ English saying about death being exaggerated. Yeah. Something like that.

I know a certain traitorous piece of ▬▬▬ I would like a word with, though. Where are you?! You ▬▬▬ coward son of a ▬▬▬! I'm going to find you even if you don't tell me, so might as well make this easy and not make me any more ▬▬▬ off, ▬▬▬.

[He doesn't actually stick around. He's seen turning it off and leaving. He'll be back later. But he's too pissed.]

[ he chuckled before listening close and taking in what Niko said, he shook his head some.]

I cant even begin to understand how he thought that was alright. I knew it was shady when he went to the network but still this is madness.

He thought he was right because my friendship mattered less to him than the money he would get from the sword. He thought he was right because it was a risk worth taking, even if that risk failed him. Even after I caught him, it was obvious that the risk was worth taking.

I hate the reminder that my friendship is less important than money. Than drugs. That my love means nothing to these people. [And he does love his friends. Some people like theirs- but Niko loves his.]

[Ashe returns his hand to Niko's shoulder, his intense Hazel eyes baring on Niko.] If it is work less to them, then they are not worth your friendship Niko. Words cant ease that pain but just know you're not alone man. You have a few people here who may barely know you but care.

It is hard to convince someone that their friendship is valuable when it's treated as cheap. But thank you, man. It is appreciated. [He reaches around to give the hand on his should a rough pat, before staring into his drink.]

I'm glad they didn't hurt Pas.

[ he lifted the glass taking a drink.] That shit back in The City of Angel's re-instilled in me how nothing is trival and every connection is important. You never know when you'll lose everything.

[ He spoke as he took another sip.] Pas?
