[Once Niko's comfortably back in his home (because he had to check on his beast, which is scarfing food in the background and his big giant hound is sniffing at it like nothing at all was wrong in the past day), Niko decides to let people know he's alive.]

[He's so angry that he flipped Jeffer's network sensor on by accident. So his swears get replaced by madlib holes of hateful silence. He's still dirty, and tired, and looks like he's ready to tear off someone's face.]

What is that ▬▬▬ English saying about death being exaggerated. Yeah. Something like that.

I know a certain traitorous piece of ▬▬▬ I would like a word with, though. Where are you?! You ▬▬▬ coward son of a ▬▬▬! I'm going to find you even if you don't tell me, so might as well make this easy and not make me any more ▬▬▬ off, ▬▬▬.

[He doesn't actually stick around. He's seen turning it off and leaving. He'll be back later. But he's too pissed.]

And ah... lets say he was very wrong. He planned for me to not make it out of there. He wanted to keep something for himself, and didn't get to.

Oh, so while you're waitin' to get here, I have some news! Remember that kitten you gave me? Her name's Nikolina, Niko for short! Belloq told me that if it's a girl, her name's gonna be different, but I wanted to make sure to name 'er after you.

[Should he have mentioned that Belloq was the one to teach him feminine forms of names? Too late to worry about that now.]

Well, they're not really boys or girls, but if she wants to be pretty then she can be Nikolina if she wants to.

Niko is already a short name. So it makes sense. [His is short for Nikola.]

[By now, Wander has run back to his room at the resort, where Nikolina the kitten is napping on a corner of his bed. He aims the camera at her.]

Here she is! [She's can be a girl if she wants to.] Look at how cute Niko is! When you get back , you gotta see her again.

You're- why did you name it after me? [Even if he thought he was dead, Niko has trouble understanding people liking him enough to do things like that.]

Well, uh, y'see, when Belloq told us all that you died, I remembered that the last time I saw you was when you gave me Niko. So I thought that I'd name her after a really brave guy.

Seriously? This is what you think of me? [He's utterly surprised to hear this.]

Well, ya did try to fight off a buncha monsters when Belloq was with you [though now he questions if Belloq's story had any truth in it at all] and you're always outside lookin' for those creepers an' makin' sure everyone in the town's safe.

So yeah! I'll say you're really brave!

[He doesn't know what to make of people think of him being brave, though. He probably never will. He's used to being necessary.] You're a good guy with a big heart. I'm sorry that ▬▬▬head lied to you. It wasn't very nice of him, but neither was locking me in a ▬▬▬ room to starve so maybe he's generally just not nice.
