accidental post
[ Dorian did not realize at first he was broadcasting, he was so bad with Tech. So the first thing heard was him singing to himself as he walked through the woods. The sound of things crinkling could be heard.
He stops then makes a perplexed noise.]
What... the hell is that?
Tsssssssssssss
...Well. you certainly have a face only a mother could love.
[ A loud boom is suddenly heard, but no more commentary from the vampire.]

let me know if i need to change anything o7;
So he's going to be on his way to the gate when he notices Niko heading in the same direction. Braska's expression is grim as he calls out to him,] The broadcast? [Is that why you're out here, too?]
I think is all good
[He looks at Braska's outfit.]
[Huh...]
If you want a ride you should tuck that shit in or something might snag it and tear you off the bike. Just warning.

Luckily, Braska dresses in layers. So, to make it easier, he shucks off the main body of his robe, leaving him in the thinner, unarmored robe.
He has to admit, he's a little regretful that his first ride on such a machina is under a circumstance where he can't be excited about it, but that's a very minor thought as he awkwardly climbs on the back of the speeder, holding his staff like he would if catching a ride on Bahamut.]
Let's go.

[He stops the bike nearby and lets Braska off while he's grabbing his rifle. He's not going in there unarmed.]

The fire is the immediate problem. (There is nothing pleasant about this situation, not at all, but it is far from a new one to him.) As much as he would like to take his time with the spell and make it as gentle as possible, with the way that Dorian is running around and how dire the situation is, Braska doesn't have that luxury. All he needs is the weakest spell of the Water branch, and if it causes too much damage, well, Braska's going to have to use the Cure spells soon anyway.
Braska charges and casts the spell Water quickly.] Better make it rain, [he quips on reflex, half-distracted with casting.]

As the water descended on him his mind went into a full panic, sure he was out but for a few second he was fully covered in water that oddly hurt, and the burns were no walk in the park either.
It was lucky for them that he feel to his knees, far too injured to fight. His pain over rode the instincts as he fell to the ground on his knees which ached enough to get another cry from him. He was looking down so no one would see his fangs extended. ]

Dorian! It's alright. You're going to be just fine. [Braska comes to a stop beside him, not encroaching on his personal space, but near enough to inspect the severity of his injuries. Hm... yes. The burns are quite severe -- better to start this with a Cura.
Again, he starts up: Charge, and heal.] This should help.
[braska he's a vampire braskA NO BRASKA NO D-- oh hell]

Stop... [ It comes out harsh since his throat now hurts with everything else. He knows you tried Braska... he loves you man. Every moment but right now.]

I'm sorry! [he cries, pulling his staff in towards his body as if to emphasize that he's not about to be casting anything else any time soon.] I'm sorry. That wasn't supposed to happen! I don't understand --
[Except he thinks he might. He doesn't understand the meaning of the fangs, but the only time a healing spell would hurt someone in Spira is if they suffered from Zombie. But Dorian hasn't exhibited any of the signs...? It must be something to do with his people? He must not be human after all.
Damn, damn, dammit, this is why he's supposed to Scan before he casts on anyone here, but he was in a rush. Until he knows the situation, something like casting Esuna and trying again is out of the question.
All he can do now is turn to look back at Niko.] Hurry! We have to get him back to town! [Braska's expression is still stricken and more than a little panicked, though he's trying his best to keep his composure.]

No shit. None of that looks like it felt good. [He says bluntly.] But we're not alone out here. We all have to go, and I only have a vehicle made for two.
[He looks off to the side again and fires into the trees. The sound that follows is a faint "tss" if you can hear it over the sound of the gun. But then whatever it is still comes, toodling out into the light. It's legs move fluidly, keeping it from even slightly bobbing when it walks, and it's camouflage is excellent. That horrible tragedy mask of a face is directing an empty socket gaze right at them, too.]
MY BAD
Be careful Niko! They explode!
[ He called out before cringing in pain. He may be a masochist but even he cant get off on this level of pain. Despite his pain he knew unless he caught aflame again he wouldn't die.]
Braska... take Niko, go. Can not kill what is already dead.
[ Those were the last words he spoke before his head hit the dirt, his body finally giving out for now. Too much aggravated damage he had to sleep to heal this. And when sleeping he was like a real corpse, no heartbeat and eventual rigamortis will kick in...]
'SALL GOOD
He is about to firmly tell Dorian no, that is not an option, but he crumples fully to the ground now. He grits his teeth and doesn't have any choice but to immediately turn his attention to the fiend.
He's never seen a manner of fiend like that before. But, no matter how much his mind immediately jumps to his conversation with Emilia, what he told her then still stands true. There is no time to second-guess, here. There can only be the defense of oneself and those nearby, and Dorian has already fallen, if only... temporarily? (Hopefully.)
He doesn't even bother dressing up an incantation this time. He charges a spell and drops a Thundara on the thing.]

FUCK! What do you me- Nevermind FUCK YOU! Fuck off and go to hell.
[It falls with a couple more shots with his rifle, just before it can get close enough to start that hissing sound again. Afterwards it seems to deteriorate into the ground.]
Shit.... What is that shit?! Okay, okay, we should- [Can't kill what's already dead? Have to look around for more of whatever those things are? They need to get back, though, that's for certain.]
no subject
Braska is left just kind of standing there dumbfounded for a moment as Niko takes the fiend down and it fades away. Wh... Wh??/? Wh???
Note to self: Thunder spells heal(?) these fiends.
Braska takes in a deep breath. Okay. Okay okay okay.]
The two of us can't move Dorian alone. [Not now, anyway.] You should go back and make sure help is on its way. I'll stay here and guard him. [Or... something. ... Dryly:] I'll make sure to stay away from the Thunder spells.

[What the hell is any of this stuff he's using?]
[He gives Dorian a reluctant look, but takes off to go find a better vehicle. Which he might get in trouble for taking. Maybe. He'll pay the fine or something- demand free drinks for it. Fuck if he knows.]
