I know that we are here voluntarily, and as such this may seem like an odd question to ask...

How do you adjust to not only come from a different planet, but a universe where everything is different? Does it make you happy or do you feel ever more homesick? I have heard it said that something familiar changed only a bit can be more unsettling than something completely alien.

I like the big city better than small towns.

It happens. Sometimes you just like a place more.

If it can get along without you and you're happier, you might as well. You go back after living in a good place? It's not going to be as nice.

I have known that before... what you say makes sense. But I still wonder what I will miss.

I retired for a while. I missed the city. I missed it more than I missed home when I left it in the first place.

So you found where you belonged?

I found where I liked. If you think of it as belonging, it might start turnin' into an obligation you don't wanna commit to.

He travels. As far as belonging somewhere, he can probably tell you most about belonging in places.

Some people are just like that. They don't lose people. They keep 'em, even after they're far behind them.

That makes sense then. Easily made, always moving, with heart enough for those they meet. I've known many people like that. It seems to work for them.
