[Private to Security Personnel]
My apologies if I've been excessively underfoot for some of you [Charon. Kay. Boone, to some extent.] during the investigation into the explosions. As I have been recently reminded, it is not my place to pry into security matters. I shall henceforth be leaving it to the professionals. And if you find any bomb scraps that need analyzing, I am at your service. [He can't entirely let it go, but at least he's gone from wanting to personally investigate and occasionally tossing around orders to simply offering to assist in his technician capacity.]
[Private to Kay]
Are you available for that talk you mentioned earlier?

[Private]
[That's coming from someone who spent a lot of time back home shooting things, though. And he doesn't mind his job really- he gets a good walk and so does Rex, and he's gotten to know the place better too. It's better than sitting around all day doing nothing.]
I never really did understand computers or robots. Never needed to. Guess that's probably a good thing. Don't think I'd be much good even if I tried.
[He's just grateful for the things he is good at. He still has to sort of wonder at the people who can figure out technology, though.]
[Private]
[Narvin doesn't mind shooting things, but he doesn't like to put himself in danger if he can help it, and he doesn't like the outdoors. Give him a computer terminal to hack any day, over wilderness trekking.]
Yes, I didn't think you were the technician type. [Narvin says. He manages just enough tact not to add that Boone reminded him of a Chancellery Guard. (As operatives in the Celestial Intervention Agency used to describe the Guard, "all military, little intelligence." Still, Narvin had to admit that they were good men to have at your back in a fight, so he judges that it behooves him not to make an enemy of Boone.)]
[Private]
[Boone gets what Narvin is probably thinking when he says that, but he doesn't particularly care. He already knows he isn't smart. Being angry about people noticing that won't make him any smarter, though he still gets ticked off when people pointedly talk down to him because of it. At least Narvin chose to keep those thoughts to himself. It's more than other people have done.]
Well, I've got stuff to do. I'll let you know if anything turns up that you could help with.
[Private]
[He gives one brisk nod and says Boone's name in farewell, in a tone that sounds like he wants to put a rank in front of Boone's name and an "over and out" afterwards.]
Boone.
