[The subject of this video isn't Boone. Instead, it's the outer fence around the village. The only sound for a few moments is of a dog quietly whining, but then Boone speaks.]

Came across this not long ago.

["This" being evidence of some pretty strong explosions happening outside the fence. There are a couple of spider legs just lying around nearby, but nothing else.]

Fence seems fine, but what I wanna know is who or what the hell is blowing things up outside it. You don't need to blow up a spider to kill it.

Not a lot bothers Rex, but he's been doing this ever since we got here. Whining, keeping away from the fence. I've known him to run straight into groups of deathclaws before, so I figure if he's spooked, I probably don't wanna get too close to whatever it is that's spooking him. Saw some shapes moving around through the trees earlier, but I couldn't make out what they were. Tried watching through my scope, but it didn't help. Just... sort of looked like the trees were moving.

[Which is ridiculous really, because he knows the damn trees aren't moving.]

Just figured I'd give everyone a heads up, anyway. Not sure if it's happening in other places yet, but if you see or find out anything let me know.

You're going to bring some of the samples of spider in to be analyzed, aren't you? Some punk might be taking shots at them with heavy ordinance. And we should probably go out and look for tracks where you saw movement. Might be hunters in camouflage.

Already got people on their way over here to check it out. Still not so sure it's a good idea to go out there yet, though. Like I said, things don't bother Rex, but he's pretty upset right now.

[And that's enough reason for him to be wary of heading past the fence.]

I don't blame you, if it's some would-be big game hunters with guns run by god knows who-- better to wait till they've cleared off.

I'd like to get a party together after the noise has died down, though, with a good tracker, maybe a weapons expert.

I haven't seen anything moving in the trees for a while. Whatever's out there, it's moved on for now. Doesn't mean they won't come back, though.

[Will they come back? He's not sure. He doesn't think they've seen the last of this, though.]

Maybe we could put a few motion activated snooper cameras out there while we're there. Helped set up a system like that on Yggdrasil to study the migration of the local bats-- I wonder if Narvin will unbend long enough to program the motion sensors.

Maybe. Not my call, though. If you do head out with a team, I wouldn't mind coming along anyway. Not sure I could get Rex out there, but I'd like to find out what we're dealing with here.

[He just doesn't want to go charging off out there alone. Seems like a stupid idea.]

Well, that settles it. We'll get the equipment together, find a tracker, and head out tomorrow or the day after, if the dog's stopped reacting.
