I decided to change that. I really have nothing of interest to share. It is simply bad form not to at least say hello to new neighbors and I seem to have been rude.

[ He is shuffling a deck of cards.] I thought I might ask those who have been here longer where places of interest and things to do between the mundane of the days would be?

I haven't played a game in a long while. I used to play a bit of poker now and then. These are mostly for magic.

Yugoslavia, yes. It's not all one country now. The peoples had a war when Tito died, and they made it different nations.

Where were you before America?

Lausanne, Switzerland. Left home around '89. Been in LA since.

[ He rubbed the back of his head some, kinda embaressed by losing track that much.]

It's 1996, so not that far off I suppose.

I enjoyed it even if it was hard. The land of dreams my friend, we all get told that line. I went to find my fame.

[ he smiled, and chuckled at once.] I am a mechanic in trade, magician by passion.

I just went to find peace and a new start, but that is in short supply, too.

Did you do any cabaret shows in Switzerland? Not many show houses in the US but I managed to go to one pretty regularly.

I can understand that. Did you find you new start?

Nah, my family was pretty much against it which is why I left. My magic is mostly for others amusements now.

Well, I will have to think about that. I've never had such a chance offered to me. Maybe self repairing clothes?

Not really. I learned that just because you get off in a new place, you don't drop the baggage you carry with you. But at least you can let some of your old problems burn out without you there.

That is very true, sadly, I doubt I really learned that lesson. I am here to start over, to escape my past. My problems are all with me sadly. [ He shrugs some expecting a question to come so he goes on and says it before he can be asked.] My son was killed, so I killed all of those involved and got myself cursed. So, I am trying to start over.
